First Impressions: Straight out of the box, the synergy between the drivers was immediately impressive. Even with basic crossover and distance-based time delay adjustments, the coherence between the midrange and midbass was striking. There was no need for any extensive tuning or tweaking to achieve a cohesive soundstage.
Midrange and Tonality: The midrange tonality is absolutely spot on. Both male and female vocals carry weight and clarity, making them sound full and natural. Instruments like bass guitars and drums benefit from excellent depth and texture, thanks to the well-defined midbass and smooth transition between the drivers.
High Extension: Despite the absence of a tweeter, the high extension is brilliant. The highs are detailed and smooth, without being fatiguing or harsh. The upper registers are clear and articulate, leaving no one missing the usual high-frequency driver.
Coherence and Impact: The overall balance and impact are well-calibrated, especially considering the speakers are still in their break-in period. The integration between the midrange and midbass ensures that the entire frequency range is cohesive, giving the music weight and clarity where needed. From vocals to instrumentals, the rich texture adds to the immersive experience.
